Prospective parents are increasingly refusing providers who only claim to treat everyone the same and are choosing clinics, agencies, attorneys, and professionals who are truly affirming. Families expect providers trained in LGBTQ+ cultural competence, inclusive intake processes, emotionally informed staff, and transparent, affirming communication. A Provider Affirming Certification is being developed to help fertility teams deliver culturally competent, affirming care.
