Golden Ratio is a new queer Black and Brown women-owned bar and lounge at 1517 Franklin Street in downtown Oakland that functions as a community hub for the East Bay. DJ Lady Ryan and Dennise Acio co-founded the venue, combining extensive music and hospitality experience. DJ Lady Ryan brings a twenty-plus-year career as a DJ, curator, and community leader, known for shaping dance floors through public radio, nightlife, and cultural events. Dennise Acio brings hospitality leadership, massage and Reiki practice, dance, and event curation informed by Hawaiian roots and community values. The space centers joy, creativity, inclusion, and belonging through music, cocktails, and curated gatherings to uplift queer spaces.
