Nyla Rose won the Pro Wrestling EVE championship at the "EVE x The World" event on August 23, defeating defending champion Nightshade. Rose reversed one of Nightshade's attempted Vader Bombs and finished the match with a Swanton Bomb from the top rope for the pinfall, counted by AEW referee Aubrey Edwards. Rose previously held the All Elite Wrestling Women’s World title. The victory makes Rose the first out trans woman and the fifth out LGBTQ+ wrestler to hold the EVE title. Rose is one of three out trans wrestlers to hold a major British promotion title alongside Gisele Shaw and Commander Sterling. Nightshade posted a congratulatory message on X and vowed to work to regain the championship.
