"I was also excited to see the Brazilian representation at the ball! One of the later categories of the ball was dedicated to Brazilian Funk and there was also one of my favorite categories that I haven't seen in years which is Shake That Ass. You can imagine the asses were twerking! The vibes were certainly on fire during this night!"
Workdatcvnt hosted a Kiki Ball at SO36 celebrating a second anniversary with strong trans masc runway representation and visible community growth. Trans masc participants were once nearly absent at balls and are now thriving and frequently turning heads. The ballroom community actively uplifts and empowers smaller groups, especially those facing multiple layers of marginalization. The event included Brazilian representation, a category dedicated to Brazilian Funk, and a returning Shake That Ass category with energetic twerking. Calvin and Mandrake produced the ball.
