The Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Children and Families terminated California's Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) grant, canceling awards for fiscal years 2023 through 2025 immediately. PREP provides education on contraception, abstinence, and healthy relationships to teens in foster care, homeless shelters, and rural communities and has operated in California since 2012, reaching tens of thousands across 20 high-need counties. The California Department of Public Health describes the curricula as evidence-based and effective at delaying sexual activity, increasing condom use, and reducing teen pregnancies. ACF cited inclusion of "gender ideology" outside the program's statutory mandate and refusal to remove that content as the reason for termination.

The Trump Administration will not allow taxpayer dollars to be used to indoctrinate children. Accountability is coming for every state that uses federal funds to teach children delusional gender ideology.
