Extra - Jeffrey Donaldson trial: Jury hears complainant wrote to defendants over "secret"

Jeffrey Donaldson, a former DUP leader, is on trial at Newry Crown Court for alleged historical sexual offences. He is 63 and has pleaded not guilty to 18 alleged offences. A court heard that he apologized to one alleged victim at a church retreat in the mid-1990s. Jurors were also told that a second complainant wrote a letter to two defendants about a secret she had to keep. The prosecution delivered its opening address during the trial proceedings.
