Karen Read weighs in on Norfolk DA, Elizabeth Banks in first post-trial interview
Briefly

Karen Read was found not guilty by a Norfolk County jury of murder and manslaughter in the January 2022 death of her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O'Keefe, and was convicted only of a drunk driving misdemeanor with a year of probation. Prosecutors tried Read twice, alleging she intentionally backed her SUV into O'Keefe; Read's lawyers contended he was beaten inside the home and that she was framed. Read publicly criticized Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey, described heavy legal costs, sold her house, moved in with her parents and lost two jobs amid the prosecutions.
There's just a lot more to tell - a lot of what it took to fight this that was behind closed doors. I think people would be very interested in that.
You lost big time, and you know what you did,
You know what you've done.
You realize when you have to sacrifice to make something happen, to fight for your life, you pull every lever you can,
Like, 'I'm gonna take to couch surfing; I can't sit on this asset anymore.'
