"Robert O'Connor, Drumgowna, Louth Village, appeared in custody in person at Drogheda District Court on Monday. A book of evidence was served on the defendant. Louise O'Connor (56), her husband Mark O'Connor (54), and their son Evan O'Connor (27) were found dead at their Drumgowna home on September 29 last."
"State Solicitor for Co. Louth Fergus Mullen said that Mr O'Connor is charged with three counts of murder of Louise, Mark and Evan O'Connor. The DPP has directed a trial on indictment and Mr Mullen sought a send forward to the Central Criminal Court. Judge Nicola Andrews gave Robert O'Connor the alibi warning and made a Section 56 disclosure order. He was sent forward in custody to the next sitting of the Central Criminal Court."

Legal aid was granted for a solicitor, a barrister and senior counsel, with the certificate extended for a psychiatric report. Family members of the deceased were present.
