The messages contained descriptions of degrading sexual acts and were sent at all hours. The teacher drew up a written proposal to take the student's virginity and purchased an iPhone for the teenager that was delivered to the student's home, exposing the harassment. The sustained campaign of messages escalated until the teenager made several attempts to take his own life. A sentencing hearing was held at a Western Circuit Criminal Court.
