A confidential law firm compensation survey collects annual pay data from solo practitioners, small firm lawyers, and midsize firm attorneys. The survey targets lawyers employed at firms with fewer than 250 attorneys and aims to capture compensation practices outside Biglaw and elite boutiques. Responses are brief and completely confidential. Sharing the survey with colleagues and peers is encouraged to increase response volume and improve the comprehensiveness of the resulting compensation report. Annual aggregation of the data produces an annual compensation report that helps illustrate pay patterns across firm sizes and inform attorneys considering career and compensation comparisons.
