U.S. District Judge Joan Azrack dismissed the jury in Goran Gogic's federal drug trial after three men were arrested for allegedly attempting to bribe a juror with $100,000. The FBI began investigating after Mustafa Fteja called a juror on Nov. 13, arranged a Staten Island meeting, and allegedly offered cash for a not guilty verdict. FBI agents recorded calls, staked out meetings, and allege the men obtained jury information. Fteja was released on a $150,000 bond while Vladimir Krasniqi and Afrim Kupa were detained. A new jury will be selected after a 30-day break. Gogic faces charges of trafficking about $1 billion in cocaine.
