Jewish Organizations Are Fighting Back Against Khalil Deportation

On October 19, 2023, the advocacy group IfNotNow organized a protest outside Vice President Kamala Harris's home to highlight issues surrounding anti-Zionism and social justice. Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) is leading emergency Passover Seders across the U.S., particularly targeting immigration enforcement and supporting former Columbia student Mahmoud Khalil. These actions, rooted in Jewish traditions, aim to connect spirituality with activism, uniting various Jewish organizations against Trump-era policies. Lily Greenberg Call emphasized the importance of collaboration among Jewish communities at this critical time, advocating for unity in confronting social injustices.

This year, all over the U.S., Jews are holding emergency Passover Seders calling for the release of Mahmoud Khalil and an end to the criminalization of all those calling for an end to the Israeli government's genocide of the Palestinian people.
