A far-left New York congressional hopeful received Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s endorsement to challenge five-term House Rep. Adriano Espaillat. The candidate previously attacked fellow Democrats on social media, including former President Joe Biden. In 2020, a since-deleted X account showed the candidate criticizing the Democratic primary choice between Biden and Donald Trump amid sexual misconduct accusations. The candidate wrote that voters were being asked to choose between “rapists.” Later in 2020, the candidate again rejected voting for Biden, calling him a “war criminal” and saying the country was a disgrace.
