Everton Football Club has publicly condemned the racist and misogynistic abuse aimed at striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin's wife, Sandra, through social media. The abuse followed her supportive post for her husband following his farewell to Goodison Park. The club emphasized it has a zero-tolerance policy against abuse and discrimination, and is collaborating with Merseyside police to identify those responsible. Alongside this situation, midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure announced he would leave the club upon expiration of his contract, amid frustrations over a recent lack of offer from Everton.
The club has a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of discriminatory and abusive behaviour, and we will continue to support Dominic and his family.
This sinister and intimidating behaviour is not only deeply hurtful and distressing, it is also criminal and does not represent the values of Everton.
