London Mayor Sadiq Khan is advocating for the DLR extension from Gallions Reach to stop at Beckton Riverside and Thamesmead. The line will include a tunnel beneath the River Thames and an elevated viaduct towards Thamesmead. This area will host a station at Cannon Retail Park, providing access to local bus routes and reducing travel time to central London. Trains are expected to run every eight to ten minutes.
A Beckton Riverside DLR station will be constructed at ground level in Armada Way, opposite Gallions Reach Shopping Park, facilitating connections for commuters.
The new DLR station in Thamesmead will be located at Cannon Retail Park, featuring an elevated platform and quick access to local bus services.
