Four days of London Underground disruption expected due to RMT strike
"While tube service is expected, levels will vary throughout the week, and all lines are likely to experience some disruption. During the tube strikes, no service is expected on the Circle line, Piccadilly line, the Metropolitan line between Baker Street and Aldgate, and the Central line between White City and Liverpool Street."
"Tuesday 19th May: Morning - normal services expected until mid-morning; Late morning - some disruption as services start to reduce ahead of strike action starting; After midday - significant disruption is expected on all lines. Wednesday 20th May: Morning - significant disruption expected on all lines; After midday - continued disruption throughout the afternoon and evening as they return the service to normal; Evening - normal service."
"Thursday 21st May: Morning - normal services expected until mid-morning; Late morning - some disruption as services start to reduce ahead of strike action starting; After midday - significant disruption is expected on all lines. Friday 22nd May: Morning - significant disruption expected on all lines; After midday - continued disruption throughout the afternoon and evening as they return the service to normal; Evening - normal service."
"During the last strike, TfL says that it maintained good service levels across the transport network, enabling customers to travel across the city. On every day more than half of normal demand was observed on the Tube, while Friday 24th April, the final day of action, the TfL network saw 94 per cent of normal demand, showing that Londoners and visitors to the city were still able to travel."
TfL warns of severe disruption across the London Underground during next week’s RMT strike by union members. Tube services are expected to run but will vary, and all lines are likely to face some disruption. No service is expected on the Circle line, Piccadilly line, the Metropolitan line between Baker Street and Aldgate, and the Central line between White City and Liverpool Street. The Elizabeth line, DLR, London Overground, buses, and trams are expected to run as normal. Based on the previous strike pattern, services are expected to be normal until mid-morning on some days, then reduce and cause significant disruption after midday, with some recovery by evening on certain days. TfL reported strong network performance during the last strike, with more than half of normal Tube demand on each day and 94% of normal demand on the final day.
