Life-sized animal puppet herd arrives in London
Briefly

A herd of life-sized puppet animals has arrived in London as part of a world tour aimed at raising climate change awareness. Created in part by students at Wimbledon College of Arts, these puppets symbolize animals fleeing from climate disaster. The Herds will tour various locations in London while growing in number, with local materials being used for their creation. The project features performances, art, and dialogue intended to provoke thought and inspire change, carrying on to Greater Manchester and the Arctic Circle afterward.
The Herds is an urgent artistic response to the climate crisis, a living, breathing call to action that stampedes across continents.
The puppets are made from upscaled and recyclable materials, primarily cardboard and plywood, with a focus on biodegradable and organic materials.
