A new 12,000 sq ft M&S store has opened in Leytonstone, east London, featuring a market-style foodhall with various sections, including a bakery and coffee counter. The opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by staff and the M&S mascot Percy Pig. Store manager Chelsea Themistokleous leads a team of 67 members and expressed excitement about serving the community. This new store is part of a broader expansion initiative, with 12 new M&S Foodhalls expected to open across the UK this year as part of a £300 million store rotation programme.

Store manager Chelsea Themistokleous, who leads a 67-strong team, said she had been counting down to the shop opening.
The store offers a fresh market-style foodhall with seasonal produce, an in-store bakery, a coffee counter, and dedicated flower and wine sections.
The new Leytonstone location arrives just as more than 450 new summer products are launching in stores.
