The 2026 list ranks 250 best hotels across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Sixty reviewers visited more than 2,000 properties to compile the ranking. Every included hotel is classified as “excellent,” scoring an average of eight out of 10 or higher across location, style and character, service and facilities, rooms, food and drink, and value for money. Ninety-four hotels cost £200 or less per night. London has 26 included hotels, led by The Chancery Rosewood, a Mayfair ultra-luxury property opened September 1, 2025 in a Grade II-listed former US embassy on Grosvenor Square, featuring eight restaurants and bars, a roof terrace, pool, and swanky spa.
