A playful house sculpture has slipped into Charterhouse Square
Briefly

Alex Chinneck's new immersive sculpture, A Week At The Knees, located at Charterhouse Square, presents a whimsical interpretation of a collapsed building. This four-storey brick façade appears to have slid off surrounding Georgian architecture. The art invites visitor interaction, allowing people to walk through its underneath space. Constructed from 320 meters of recycled steel, bespoke windows, and 7,000 bricks, the installation reflects fun and creativity in art. The installation will remain open until June 2025, alongside the nearby Charterhouse Museum, enhancing the local cultural experience.
Not all art needs to be teriffically earnest and difficult to understand - it can be just darned good fun. It makes you smile.
The floppy house, officially called A Week At The Knees, will be in Charterhouse Square until late( ish) June 2025, so you've got a few weeks to see it.
