A 12-person crew led by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, including climate activist Greta Thunberg, has set sail from Sicily to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. The mission comes after the group's previous vessel was attacked by drones near Malta, which FFC attributes to Israeli forces. Thunberg emphasized the importance of their endeavor, claiming that continuing to fight for humanity is vital, and voiced that the danger they face pales compared to the global indifference towards suffering witnessed in regions like Gaza. This action reflects FFC's ongoing commitment to non-violent protest against the Gaza blockade and support for Palestinian rights.
We are doing this because no matter what odds we are against, we have to keep trying, because the moment we stop trying is when we lose our humanity.
No matter how dangerous this mission is, it is nowhere near as dangerous as the silence of the entire world in the face of the lives being genocised.
