Person dies after being hit by train at West Hampstead Thameslink station

A tragic incident occurred at West Hampstead Thameslink station, where an individual was struck and killed by a train shortly after 10am on June 13. British Transport Police confirmed that emergency services responded, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are not treating the incident as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner. Although normal train services resumed just after noon, significant travel disruptions are expected to continue until approximately 3pm, prompting National Rail to advise passengers to postpone their journeys if possible.
Police were called at around 10.10am today (13 June) to reports of a casualty on the tracks at West Hampstead Thameslink station.
All lines have since reopened just after noon today, however major disruption is still estimated to last until 3pm.
