A steamy kiss made Kwn viral. Her latest EP proves she's more than a moment
"Cut the lights, turn the bass up, we gon' hit some notes,"
"Are ... we supposed to see this? Omg,"
"This is gonna be somebody's awakening,"
"I'm super happy, man. I knew that song was going to be something, and I'm glad that the world took it in just as much as I did,"
British singer Kwn released the seductive single "Worst Behavior" in November and later issued a Valentine's Day remix featuring Kehlani. The Chris Chance-directed video includes a prolonged kiss that propelled heavy social media reaction and fan-recorded live responses. Supporters praised the apparent chemistry and repeatedly replayed the clip. By mid-October the video had surpassed 21 million YouTube views. Kwn recorded the original track live on Instagram in her childhood bedroom in Walthamstow. Kwn followed with the sapphic bedroom jam "Do What I Say," the second single from the EP With All Due Respect. Kwn is a 25-year-old musician who studied at East London Arts and Music school and began making music as a preteen; she says people doubted her after being dropped from her label.
