Anthrax performed their new single “It’s For the Kids” live for the first time on Tuesday during their set opening for Iron Maiden in Sofia, Bulgaria. The song appeared at the halfway mark of an eight-song set, with the remaining songs drawn from the band’s classic thrash catalog. “It’s For the Kids” serves as the lead single from Anthrax’s upcoming studio album Cursum Perficio, scheduled for September 18 and marking the band’s first new studio LP in 10 years. Sofia holds special significance as the location of the first-ever “Big 4” show featuring Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer, and Metallica, with the bands playing the same stadium in 2010. Anthrax and Megadeth are supporting Iron Maiden on the Run For Your Lives world tour, with a North America run planned for this summer.
