A box of langoustines worth about £200 was taken from the doorstep of Elystan Street, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Chelsea, at about 08:00 GMT. CCTV footage shows a woman looking behind a flower bed, sliding out a white box and walking away. General manager Becky McLaughlin said the theft has a domino effect across the supply chain, from catching the produce to transporting it from Scotland to London, and that the cost must be absorbed by the independent restaurant. The incident was reported to the Metropolitan Police, and a similar earlier theft at Galvin La Chapelle involved about £800 of premium meat.
