Post Malone postpones London concerts over Tube strikes after Coldplay also axed gigs due to walkouts
"We're sorry to announce that, due to planned strikes on the London Underground, we've been forced to reschedule the two Post Malone concerts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Without a Tube service, it's impossible to get people to the concert and home again safely, and therefore no event licence can be granted for the nights of 7th and 8th September."
"We're very sorry for the inevitable disappointment, frustration and inconvenience that this situation causes."
"We were coming from Ireland and had flights etc booked for concert. Have had to cancel now and lie the loss of the cost of the flights. Not really good enough and very disappointed with the lateness of this announcement."
"They could have let us know sooner than a week before the event!"
Post Malone postponed two concerts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after planned London Underground strikes made safe travel to and from the events impossible. The show originally due this Sunday was moved to Saturday, September 20, and the gig originally scheduled for Monday was moved 13 days later to Sunday, September 21. Organisers said that without a Tube service no event licence could be granted for the nights of September 7 and 8. A separate Chris Martin-fronted band also adjusted dates, moving September 7 to September 6 and September 8 to September 12. Fans reported cancelled travel, lost costs and frustration at late notice.
