Ravyn Lenae Reveals New Album Blue Island
Ravyn Lenae announced Blue Island, her third full-length album, arriving August 7 through Atlantic. The project follows her 2024 breakout track “Love Me Not.” A new wave-leaning single, “Handle,” is released with an Andre Muir-directed music video featuring choreography by Akira Uchida. Lenae described Blue Island as a point of arrival, shaped by feeling set in her identity and free from preconceived notions about Blackness. She aims to challenge expectations for R&B and pop, rejecting those constraints to create her own sound. She will also perform more than a dozen dates across Europe and North America in summer 2026.
"“'Blue Island' is a point of arrival, and feeling set in my ways and in who I am, and feeling free ofany of those preconceived notions about Blackness or what I had to be in the past,” Lenae said in a statement about the record's inception. “I think now it's fun to challenge the idea of what R&B is supposed to sound like, what pop is supposed to sound like... and really say 'fuck all of that' and do my own thing.”"
