Soccer Mommy, the project of Sophie Allison, is set to release Evergreen (stripped), an EP reimagining her 2024 album, featuring a new track "She Is (stripped)." This effort comes as she extends her world tour with new shows scheduled for September. The EP includes reworked versions of five songs from the original album, and Allison expressed a personal connection to "She Is," even though it didn't appear in the final tracklist. The artist's acoustic sounds continue to resonate as she gears up for her fall tour in the U.S.
This song didn't make the cut for Evergreen but it was always really special to me. I think the stripped version does it justice while staying close to the demo.
An acoustic track describing someone (perhaps Allison herself) as a grounding force who can also cause pain, "She Is" features lyrics like, "[She is] the one I think of when I'm losing faith/ The one who leads me back this way."
Soccer Mommy is currently on tour across the globe through the end of the year. She will return to the States in September for a new run of shows across the Midwest and East Coast.
Evergreen (stripped) features five reworked versions of songs from Allison's fourth album, including the previously released "Driver (stripped)," which she debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
