A statue of Lemmy Kilmister will be unveiled in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, on May 9th. This bronze sculpture, created by local artist Andy Edwards, stands 2.25 meters tall and pays homage to the iconic Motörhead frontman. The unveiling ceremony will feature various festivities, including a 21-gun salute, a biker procession, and a tribute performance by a Motörhead tribute band. Edwards, reflecting on his dedication to the project, aims to capture the essence of Lemmy, allowing fans to reminisce about past concerts and experiences.
The reason for making this statue is to give other people that pleasure that I've had in thinking back, those memories at Victoria Hall, Bingley Hall and Vale Park.
