The Boo Radleys annonce new album 'In Spite of Everything," share "Bring it All Back"
""At 2 a.m., sitting up and contemplating our loss during my child's wake, I found myself reflecting on all the major news events that had left their mark on me through the years and the helplessness I sometimes felt to change anything. Writing the last verse was the most difficult and personal thing I've done.""
""My child's journey and loss have changed me profoundly, but they also remind me, even in these darkest moments, of all I have to be grateful for. Through this song, I hope to honour their memory and the light they brought into our lives.""
""Despite the circumstances, first single 'Bring Them Back Again' is hopeful and poppy, with just a little disco in there.""
The Boo Radleys announced their upcoming album 'In Spite of Everything', set for release on May 1. This marks their second album since reuniting in 2021 without guitarist Martin Carr. The album was produced by bassist Tim Brown, who faced personal challenges during its creation, including the death of his eldest son. Brown expressed that writing the album was profoundly personal and aimed to honor his child's memory. The first single, 'Bring Them Back Again', is described as hopeful and poppy, featuring elements of disco.
