The Cribs are set to release their new album, 'Selling a Vibe', on January 9, 2026. They previewed it with the lead single 'Summer Seizures'. Produced by Patrick Wimberly, the album continues their evolution toward a more personal sound, with emphasis on melody and family dynamics. Gary Jarman noted the songs are very significant, making their release nerve-wracking. The song 'Summer Seizures' embodies experiences of love and introspection, reflecting on major life events during a summer in NYC. The band will support the album with North American tour dates starting in September.
"I think as time has gone by our albums have become more and more open - and as such the songs on Selling a Vibe feel very personal. So it can be nerve wracking releasing them because they matter so much to us."
"We don't want this to be seen as an 'indie rock' record or a 'punk' record or whatever - all those things that used to seem to matter to us."
"Summer Seizures" was the first song to come out of The Cribs' recording sessions, inspired by 'all the major events' in my life coming together during the summer it was made.
"It's a song about love, tragedy, and learning to live with yourself, all set during summertime in NYC."
