Durutti Column, led by Vini Reilly, has released a new album titled Renascent, scheduled for July 31 through London Records. The album follows the January reissue of their debut, Return of the Durutti Column. A single called “Liars” is available, and the album art was designed by Mark Holt and Hamish Muir, original illustrators for the band’s former label Factory. Reilly’s trio includes longtime percussionist Bruce Mitchell and player-producer Keir Stewart. Reilly returned to the studio amid growing recognition, with endorsements from Frank Ocean, Yung Lean, and Harry Styles. Guests on the new LP include Caoilfhionn Rose, connected to a Durutti Column tribute at London’s Meltdown Festival. The tracklist includes “Echoes in the Memory,” “Your Shadow at Morning,” “Time Present and Time Past,” “Agonistes,” “Liars,” and others.

"Backed by longtime percussionist Bruce Mitchell and player-producer Keir Stewart, Reilly came back to the studio at a time of snowballing recognition for his Durutti Column work, including endorsements from Frank Ocean, Yung Lean, and Harry Styles. (Of the latter nod, Reilly said, "I don't know who Harry Styles is, but I shall Google him.")"
"Guests on the new LP include Caoilfhionn Rose, one of the artists signed up for a Durutti Column tribute at the Styles-curated Meltdown Festival in London next month. The Durutti Column's last album of original material was 2010's A Paean to Wilson."
