Monasterboice news requests submissions by email or phone, with correspondence due by noon on Fridays for publication in the next week’s paper. Drumshallon Forge held a monthly tea/coffee seniors’ social on 15 May, featuring friendly conversation, homemade scones and cakes, and a free raffle for a cash prize. The gathering occurs on the third Friday each month at 11.15am, alongside a Louth Vintage Club social dance at 8.30pm. The next seniors’ coffee/tea gathering and the next social dance are both scheduled for Friday 19 June. Drumshallon Forge lists classes including pilates and weights, dancing, guides, creative writing, yoga, children’s Irish dancing, social singing, and children’s Brazilian jiu jitsu. Charlie McDonnell received Student of the Year at Ballymackenny College in Drogheda.
