Lewis MacLeod, 36, traveled to London for a football match and is on trial for manslaughter after throwing a punch that killed Michael Edwards, 43. MacLeod described feeling scared and terrified during the incident outside a convenience store. He stated he never intended to cause serious harm and expressed devastation over Edwards' death. MacLeod recounted being followed by Edwards and his friend after a prior confrontation and felt threatened, leading him to throw a defensive punch. He maintains that he acted out of fear for his safety.
