Two men (50s) arrested as gardai seize 1.5m worth of cannabis in South Dublin
"This seizure of illicit drugs in a specific targeted operation, in addition to a number of other significant seizures in the city centre and across the region in the past number of days demonstrates our commitment to removing harmful drugs from circulation."
An Garda Síochána conducted a search in South Dublin, seizing €1.52 million worth of cannabis, including 73kg of cannabis herb and 10kg of cannabis resin. Two men in their 50s were arrested and are being questioned at Garda stations. This operation is part of Operation Tara, an anti-drugs strategy aimed at disrupting drug trafficking. The drugs are undergoing technical analysis by Forensic Science Ireland. Ongoing investigations are focused on prosecuting those involved in the supply of illicit drugs.
