Although almost all understand that employee experience impacts customer satisfaction significantly, only a small percentage offer flexible pay, shift swapping, or self-service management tools. Furthermore, corporate buy-in is identified as a major obstacle to investing in better workforce management solutions.
Over half (53%) have already frozen recruitment due to government budget pressures, and nearly 60% expect to make redundancies within six months.
Despite nearly all retailers (98%) recognising that employee experience directly impacts customer satisfaction, many are failing to equip their frontline teams with the tools they need.
