Wrightbus, a leading zero-emission bus manufacturer, has received a £150 million financial boost from HSBC UK, crucial for its growth and global decarbonisation efforts in public transport. This funding, more than double its previous financing, follows a recent £25 million investment into R&D including hydrogen coach development. Under CEO Jean-Marc Gales, Wrightbus is accelerating production in its Northern Ireland and Malaysia factories and expanding its electric bus divisions, NewPower and Rightech, while bolstering job creation within the supply chain.
