Briefly

A dump truck crashed into five vehicles and then the Whiskey a Go Go club in West Hollywood around 2 p.m., causing power outages for nearby businesses. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. The collision knocked down a main power wire, initially affecting 1,420 customers, and ongoing repair efforts reduced that number to 225. Visuals on social media depicted the truck damage as crews worked to restore service, while performances at Whiskey a Go Go continued as planned without initial disruption.
The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. when the truck collided with five vehicles before crashing into the building in the 8900 block of Sunset Boulevard, Sheikh said.
Jeff Monford, a spokesperson for Southern California Edison, said the dump truck brought down a main wire - knocking out power for some of the surrounding buildings.
