Sources indicated that while Perry was compensated well, between $750,000 and $900,000 per show, the overall performance did not meet expectations. Following this, her recent album, "143," failed to make an impact on the charts, and her upcoming tour also faced challenges with ticket sales. Despite these setbacks, Perry expressed hopes to continue performing in Las Vegas.
"The residency was a disaster for Resorts World, a complete failure," a source told Paula Froelich of NewsNation.
"Katy was getting paid between $750,000 and $900,000 a show... and the entire run she underperformed and Resorts World lost money," the source added.
