The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, set to open in 2026 in Los Angeles's Exposition Park, is designed by MAD under the vision of filmmaker George Lucas. The landmark features a fluid, organic design with over 1,500 molded fiberglass-reinforced polymer panels, creating a canopy-like structure. Its central archway spans a public plaza, and a four-story elliptical oculus links the park and interior spaces. Surrounding the museum, landscape architect Mia Lehrer revitalizes the area, transforming parking lots into a pedestrian-friendly oasis with over 200 trees planted.
The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, designed by MAD, features 1,500 uniquely molded FRP panels and organic geometries, creating a floating effect above the park.
The museum features a 56-meter-long archway that serves as the entrance and a four-story elliptical oculus that visually links the interiors with the outdoors.
