A man, 41 years old, was shot and killed in South Los Angeles while attempting to protect his vehicle from theft. Deputies arrived at the scene to find two men wounded, one deceased with gunshot wounds to the upper torso. The incident occurred when the men confronted three individuals trying to steal their car after the car alarm sounded. During the confrontation, a fourth suspect fired shots at them, leading one of the men to return fire in self-defense. The assailants fled the scene in a red or burgundy coupe, with no arrests made yet.
