Orel Hershiser marked the grand opening of his new Chevrolet dealership in Chino with local politicians and former Los Angeles Dodgers teammates Mickey Hatcher and Mike Scioscia in attendance. Dodgers broadcaster Joe Davis and host John Hartung, along with former Los Angeles Lakers champion Robert Horry, Miguel Rojas, and Jaime Jarrín, also appeared. Hershiser and Eddie Allizadeh, partners in Legends' Attic in Claremont, were honored during a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a parade to Chino City Hall. The event included appearances by Jack Dreyer and Joe Kelly, with ESPN L.A. Radio broadcasting live. Thousands of fans gathered to hear remarks and personal stories, and Hershiser credited Chino’s support and his business entry to learning from other Chevrolet owners.
