In the final hours of a recent trip to the Baja California Peninsula, I found myself at the final place on my Mexican tourist itinerary: Gasolinera Pemex off Highway 1 near the airport.
I'd soon discover that it wouldn't matter which gas station I'd select because, if there's one thing these stations by the airport all have in common, it's that the attendants have a reputation for credit card fraud.
