He received a farewell tour with special final road and home starts and celebrated a World Series victory with family. Despite retiring, Kershaw accepted an invitation to join Team USA for the World Baseball Classic. Kershaw cited past insurance concerns about his arm, said he wants to serve as an "insurance policy" for the staff, and started throwing 10-12 days ago.
