"They're a phenomenal group, managed by a great manager, they have awesome players,"
"I'm really excited to see Straw, Gimenez, Sandlin and Ernie. Those are my boys. I'm happy we're all there. We were all Cleveland boys at one point, and they all traded us, and now we're going."
"That put a big smile on my face, and I'm sure all the other guys, because we love Nayls,"
"He's one of the best teammates I've ever had, and we're always rooting for him, so it's really cool to share the field with him again."
Josh Naylor, a Mississauga native and Seattle Mariners first baseman, said playing the Toronto Blue Jays would be just another team to beat while expressing excitement about reuniting with former Cleveland teammates. Naylor named Myles Straw, Nick Sandlin, Andres Gimenez and Ernie Clement as friends now on Toronto's roster. Ernie Clement said sharing the field with Naylor brought a big smile and praised him as one of the best teammates. Shane Bieber, another former Guardian, will start Game 3 in Seattle on Wednesday at 8:08 p.m. ET. The former Guardians reached Toronto by varied transactions.
