Gavin Lux received his 2024 World Series ring at Dodger Stadium prior to the opener against the Cincinnati Reds. The presentation occurred at Dodger Stadium even though Lux first faced the Reds in July at Great American Ball Park. He described feeling appreciation and camaraderie from former teammates as the most meaningful part of the ceremony and grew emotional while restraining the reaction. The ceremony included a gold Dodgers jersey and cap and a tribute video highlighting several of his top moments with the team. Lux was the 20th overall pick in 2016, debuted in 2019, won two World Series with the Dodgers, and was traded to the Reds in the offseason.
During an appearance on the "On Base with Mookie Betts" podcast, Lux said feeling the appreciation and camaraderie from his former teammates was the most meaningful part of the ceremony: "It was great. I got a little emotional, but you can see I fought it back. I held it in. It was cool. You build that family, the bond you always have with every team but then when you make a run like that and win a World Series, a lot of guys don't get to experience that. Seeing all you guys walk out, that was the coolest part for me. Was feeling the love from you guys."
The World Series ring ceremony included receiving a gold Dodgers jersey and cap, as Lux was surrounded by his former teammates. The Dodgers also played a tribute video that included several of Lux's top highlights during his time with the team. The 20th overall pick in the 2016 MLB Draft, Lux enjoyed a successful tenure with the Dodgers. He made his Major League debut in 2019 and helped the team win two World Series championships before he was traded to the Reds during the offseason.
