Currently, MLB rosters feature 59 Black players, a slight increase yet insufficient compared to past decades. The St. John Bosco High School baseball team, with five Black starters, showcases a hopeful future amidst competing sports. Players like Miles Clark, his twin brother James, and others have embraced baseball, achieving a Trinity League title and aspiring for collegiate baseball careers.
"Definitely something to be proud of," center fielder Miles Clark said.
Each player offers speed and athleticism. Maxwell had an RBI single in the semifinals against Seth Hernandez of Corona.
