Nottingham Forest has secured right-back Ola Aina with a new three-year contract following a strong campaign. Aina previously faced an expiring contract in 2026 after a one-year extension was triggered by the club avoiding relegation. The team narrowly missed Champions League qualification, finishing seventh, but will participate in the Conference League next season—their first European venture since 1995-96. Aina's contract follows agreements with other players and the head coach, Nuno Espirito Santo. He made significant contributions, including 11 clean sheets, two goals, and strong defensive statistics in the recent season.
Aina contributed to 11 clean sheets in 35 Premier League games last season, scoring two goals and adding one assist. Only Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk participated in more shutouts.
Aina's new deal comes after the club reached long-term agreements with striker Chris Wood and centre-back Murillo, while head coach Nuno Espirito Santo also committed his future to the club until 2028.
