Lily Murphy, a 19-year-old forward, has signed a contract extension with Manchester City Women through June 2027. Murphy signed her first professional deal in December after breaking into the first team last season. She joined Manchester City's academy in 2022 and made 22 appearances across all competitions in 2024–25, scoring two goals and providing two assists. Murphy described the extension as an amazing feeling and expressed pride for her family, calling staying at the club a dream. Murphy is expected to be available for City's WSL season opener against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on 5 September.
