After returning to Carrington this summer he was linked with moves to Elche and Turkish side Eyupspor and was expected to leave in the transfer window. He has been training with the main group again and is eligible for Premier League selection, but the club plans for him to rebuild match fitness with the U21s before senior-team inclusion.
